Tech giant Apple has released the iOS 14.1 and iPadOS 14.1 updates. These new updates primarily focus on improvement and are available for all compatible iPhone and iPad models.
The company released this latest update in less than a month after the rollout of iOS 14.0.1 and iPadOS 14.0.1. With these early updates the company brings bug fixes which came with iOS 14 and iPadOS 14. Along with some bug fixes, the new updates also bring 10-bit HDR video playback and edit support for all the iPhones and iPads.
According to the changelog of iOS 14.1 and iPadOS 14.1 brings support for 10-bit HDR video playback and editing in Photos app for the iPhone 8 and the models launched after that.
Apart from this, the latest software update also fixes bugs which caused problems in some folders, icons and widgets present on the home screen. The company has also solved the issue related to dragging widgets with the latest update. With iOS 14.1 Apple has also fixed the issues related to the Mail app.
On the other hand, the iPadOS 14.1 update includes bug fixes related to widgets, icons, folder and Mail app. The iPad users also get 10-bit HDR video playback support and editing support for Photo app for iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2nd generation) and later, iPad Pro 11‑inch, iPad Pro 10.5-inch, iPad Air (3rd generation) and later, and the iPad mini (5th generation).
How to download iOS 14.1 update
In order to download the latest iOS 14.1 and iPadOS 14.1 update users first have to make sure that they have enough battery and they should have a working WiFi connection. Users can start the download process by going to Settings>General>Software Updates.

  • Adds support for 10-bit HDR video playback and edit in Photos for iPhone 8 and later
  • Addresses an issue where some widgets, folders, and icons were showing up in reduced size on the Home Screen

  • Fixes an issue where some emails in Mail were sent from an incorrect alias
  • Fixes an issue that could prevent incoming calls from displaying region information
  • Fixes an issue on some devices where selecting zoomed display mode and an alphanumeric passcode could result in the Lock Screen emergency call button overlapping with the text input box
  • Addresses an issue where some users were occasionally unable to download or add songs to their library while viewing an album or playlist
  • Fixes an issue that could prevent zeroes from appearing in Calculator
  • Resolves an issue where streaming video resolution could temporarily be reduced at the start of playback
  • Fixes an issue that prevented setting up a family member’s Apple Watch for some users
  • Resolves an issue where the Apple Watch case material was displayed incorrectly in the Apple Watch app
  • Addresses an issue in the Files app that could cause some MDM-managed cloud service providers to incorrectly display content as unavailable
  • Improves compatibility with Ubiquiti wireless access points
