Taiwan-based tech brand Asus’ Zenfone series is known to pack in high-end features at relatively affordable prices. The company has confirmed that the next device in the Zenfone series will launch on August 26. The company posted a video from its official YouTube channel announcing the launch date. However, it is expected that the phone will initially launch in Taiwan only and will reach other markets at a later date.
Previous leaks and rumours have suggested that Asus Zenfone 7 will continue to feature the flip camera, which first came in Asus 6Z last year. Other leaks have also revealed some of the expected specifications of the Zenfone 7. The smartphone is said to feature a 6.7-inch display and could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. This could be a surprise as Asus generally packs in the latest processor in Zenfone series. The ROG Phone 3 which was launched last month features the Snapdragon 865+ processor.
Asus Zenfone series are also known to pack in big batteries and the upcoming phone is expected to be no different. The phone is said to feature a 5000mAh batter with 30W fast charging support as well. It is not known what variants the upcoming smartphone will offer. A NCC listing has suggested that the Zenfone 7 will have a 512GB internal storage variant. Apart from this, the phone is expected to feature Wi-Fi 6, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 as connectivity options.
The most recent phone from Asus to hit the markets was the ROG Phone 3. The next Zenfone series phone will come as competition to phones from OnePlus, Oppo and others.
