Google Duo users can now put L’Oreal lipstick AR filter to look pretty on video calls

Must read

Google has partnered with L’Oreal to add a new lipstick AR filter that allows users to wear virtual lipstick on Google Duo video calls. The results are accurate and you need not worry about the lipstick filter floating around your face. Google Duo offers a range of AR stickers but this is the first time that is letting users apply virtual make up for video calls.
Google has introduced a range of features to Duo and has also increased the number of participants of a video call. Google has worked on a new video codec technology to improve video call quality and reliability even on very low bandwidth connections. It also said that Duo already uses AI to reduce audio interruptions.

Google Duo gives its users the option to send personalised video and voice messages using AR effects, but these disappear after 24 hours. However, the company has announced that it is soon going to change this as users will get the option to automatically save these messages in Duo instead of them expiring after 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Google rolled out a new update to the web version of the Google Duo platform that will allow its users to to make a conference call with up to 32 participants. In order to make use of the new feature, all users need to do is to click on the “create group link button” and sign in with their Google account on Google Duo website.
Duo has also received a new update that adds the screen sharing functionality. The screen sharing, for now, would be possible only in one-on-one conversations and only on the Android platform.
