Google Tasks and Calendar integration is now rolling out

Must read

Google has been working to improve the integration between its apps and services. The tech giant recently announced the Meet and Chats integration to its Gmail app and web. The company has been testing the Google Calendar integration with Google Tasks since last year and has finally started rolling out the update for Android and iOS versions of the app and for personal and G Suite accounts.
With Google Calendar integration with Tasks, users will now be able to create new tasks, view tasks in Google Calendar mobile app as well. The feature was earlier limited to the web version only. According to Google’s official blog post, the tasks created using Google Calendar will automatically sync across desktop and mobile devices connected to the same Google account.
In the blog post, the tech giant has also confirmed that there will be a rapid and scheduled rollout and it might take up to 2 weeks to show up on devices depending upon the region.
Google Tasks was launched back in 2018 and since then, the app has received several new features. However, with tighter Google Calendar integration, users can even create a new event, task, or mark their calendar right from the Google Calendar app itself and without the Tasks app.
To create a new task, users need to tap on the Create button from the bottom of the screen and choose the tasks option. Enter name and other necessary details related to the task and save it.
