Your
gaming area shouldn’t be some disused corner of your home, or a cold garage
surrounded by old, rusty tools.

Your PC
gaming area should be your battle station. When it is set up right, it can make
your gaming experience smooth and much more enjoyable.

It
needn’t be the most expensive gaming setup available, but you do need to spend
a bit to get it to where it needs to be for proper gaming.

Will
the proper gaming set up help you play better? You bet it will. When you are
comfortable and have things set up for ease of use then your game play will
definitely improve.

In this
article, I will go over several ways to improve your gaming setup so you can
finally master that game.

The right PC

Before you go out and buy a League of Legends account, you need to make sure you have a gaming PC that has the processing power to handle that game and more.

Your
game needs to be smooth as any lags will cause you a lot of grief. Nothing
kills the flow of a game and your enjoyment of it like lagging. And, for some
reason it always lags at a critical time of the game.

Avoid
that by getting the best PC you can afford. I don’t mean the best one money can
buy, I mean spend to the top of your budget for the best available at that
price point.

Comfortable gaming chair

Ergonomics
count for a lot when you are gaming for several hours at a time. In the right gaming chair, you can be comfortable so
you never have to stop playing due to fatigue.

Make
sure that you are buying the right size chair for your height and that the seat
is wide enough for you too.

Since
your lower back can really suffer when playing for too long, there should be an
adjustable cushion to give you support at your lower lumbar area.

There should also be a headrest that allows you to rest your head comfortably. And lastly, armrests are more important than you realize, so make sure they are padded and adjustable so you can keep your arms comfortable on them while still playing effectively.

Gaming mouse

The
mouse is really the most subjective part of this set up. Everybody’s hands are
different so the mouse that fits me comfortably might not work for you.

You’ll
need to determine your grip style to know which kind of mouse to get. Do you
use the palm grip that requires a heavier mouse? Or are you a fingertip grip
kind of gamer? In this case you’ll need a smaller, lightweight mouse.

The best thing to do is to head to a gaming store and ask if you can try out their selection so you can see exactly which one is right for you before you commit.

You can also check out online stores for the best gaming mouse. There are numerous options online and you can begin with Razer who offer the best gaming gear. You can visit https://www.razer.com/gaming-mice to check out one of the best gaming mice you can have for your gaming area. Remember, an amazing mouse will go a long way in ensuring that you enjoy your gaming experience.

Large mouse pad

Have
you ever needed to swing your character around quickly to fire at a player
sneaking up on you and then run out of room on your mouse pad? Of course you
have if you have been using a regular size pad.

When
you’re gaming, you have to remember that a lot of the gear you would use
normally is not going to be suited towards gaming. The mouse pad is no
different.

Get an
extra long one so you have the space to whip around as needed.

Backup harddrive

When
you start running out of disc space, then you’ll need to download a game every
time you want to play it. This is time consuming and unnecessary.

How
much space the drive should have really depends on your needs, but I can’t
imagine having a proper gaming station that doesn’t include a hard drive with
at least 1 TB available.

Cable management system

Please,
please, please sort out your cables! They can be an ungodly mess and really
ruin the whole look of your battle station.

Your
cable management needs to coordinate your cables and keep them together. This
is not only for looks, it will also keep you playing instead of trying to get
your cables out of the way every thirty seconds.

It
doesn’t really matter what you use as long as they are organized and neat. Even
some pull ties do the job nicely. To make it easy, and a little more neat
looking, you can use a cable management sleeve.

Monitors

Bigger is usually better when it comes to gaming monitors. If you have the room, then I would say a minimum of 27 inches is something to shoot for. Then when it comes to pixels, look for a resolution of about 2,560 by 1,440 pixels.

To
really get into the game the resolution should be good enough for the graphics
to really shine. These days it isn’t enough to have a single monitor.

Instead,
you might want to consider panels for your monitor setup. Twisted Nematic
panels have fast pixel responses and refresh rates that lots of gamers are
looking for now.

Keyboard

There
really is only one type of keyboard to consider for gaming. And that is
mechanical. The keys are far more responsive and speed is important when
gaming. And, without the clicking noise of a mechanical keyboard, the effect
just wouldn’t be the same.

Look for Cherry MX for switches for the keys. These are popular with gamers since you can choose between clicky and not clicky and linear and nonlinear.

Conclusion

By
taking a look at each component of your setup, you are making sure that you
have everything optimized for maximum enjoyment of your gaming experience.

One
thing you do have to consider before putting it all together is compatibility.
Make sure to find out if there will be issues with each of the pieces.

You’re
going to be spending a lot of time in your station so it should be as ideal as
possible. And don’t be afraid to switch things up so you have good flow, too.
