NEW DELHI: Huawei has launched its first over-the-ear wireless headphones called Huawei FreeBuds Studio. The Bluetooth headphones come with active noise cancellation (ANC) and an omnidirectional 8-microphone system. The company has priced the device at 299 euros (Rs 25,967) and they will be available starting next month.
The Huawei FreeBuds Studio comes with a 4-layer, 40mm dynamic driver and a frequency response between the range of 4Hz to 48kHz. The headphone comes with active noise cancellation and it provides three noise cancellation modes that can be switched according to varying environmental noise. With the dual connection, users can easily pair it with their smartphones. Its headband uses a streamlined design and can extend to 150 degrees to fit different head shapes and sizes.
Huawei FreeBuds Studio features the “TAT” double-layer sound insulation structure and intelligent dynamic ANC that achieve noise cancellation effect of up to 40dB. With the built-in IMU environment sensor and microphone system, the headphones can detect the user’s sound environment and offer three ANC modes that can adapt to the environment for better noise cancellation effects.
In addition, FreeBuds Studio supports awareness mode and voice mode, allowing users to stay aware of their surroundings or have clear conversations without removing their headphones. Moreover, the all-new six-mic call noise reduction system can pick up voice more directionally, effectively focusing on voices and cutting out background noise, claims Huawei
The wireless headphones are also the first dual antenna over-ear wireless headphone that offers 360° omnidirectional Bluetooth signal coverage for a more stable connection. The company claims that when fully charged the Huawei FreeBuds Studio can offer battery backup of up to 20 hours with ANC on and increase to 24 hours with ANC off. The company also adds that with just 10 minutes of charging the headphones can offer five hours of battery backup.
