Firstly, users will be able to go live on Instagram for up to 4 hours. This limit till now has been set at one hour.
Next, the app will allow creators to save their Live videos for 30 days before they delete. Till now, users had the option to save their Live videos by publishing to IGTV. Instagram offers its users the option to archive their Feed posts or their Stories and will offer the option to archive their Live videos the same way.
Lastly, in order to expand the reach of these Live videos, Instagram will start showing a “Live Now” section in the IGTV app and on Explore.
These features are expected to be rolled out on both Android and iOS to all Instagram users globally.
Just this month, Instagram announced three audio-related features for its TikTok-like service Reels. As per the tweet, Reels will now allow users to save audio, share audio and browse audio.
The ‘save audio’ feature will allow users to save sounds to create whenever users want. The ‘share audio pages’ will share all the Reels that use a specific piece of audio over Direct Messages (DMs) and the ‘audio browser’ feature will allow users to search through new sections such as ‘For You’ and ‘Trending.”
