iPhone 12 display ‘issues’ for some users, Apple may be working on a fix

Must read

Apple’s latest iPhone 12 series that recently launched seems to be facing some display issues among users and it appears Apple seems to be working on a fix.
According to a report by MacRumors, an internal document shows that Apple has “acknowledged an issue with some iPhone 12 displays exhibiting flickering, a green or gray glow, or other unintended lighting variations under some conditions.”
The report claims that the document, which has been shared with Apple Authorized Service Providers this week, shows that the Cupertino-based tech giant says that it is aware of customer reports related to this issue and is investigating the matter.
The report further adds that Apple has advised technicians to avoid servicing affected iPhones, at least for now, and instead urge the customers to keep their iPhones up to date in terms of software.
“This guidance suggests that Apple may be confident that it can fix the issue in a future software update,” adds the report.
The display issue has apparently been spotted on all four handsets from the latest iPhone lineup — iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Describing the issue, MacRumors suggests that users seem to be facing it when the brightness of the display is set to 90% or lower and has been brought forward by those users whose iPhones are running on iOS 14.1, iOS 14.2, and the first two iOS 14.3 betas.
