After weeks of MIUI 12 beta testing, Redmi Note 8 Pro users in India are finally getting the public MIUI 12 Global stable update.
Since Xiaomi revealed the big update to its Android skin globally back in May, several MIUI 12 supported devices in India have received the update.
Not long ago, Xiaomi India hosted a live MIUI 12 announcement on YouTube, where it revealed a new MIUI 12 roll-out schedule for Xiaomi device users in India. Up until now, owners of Redmi K20/ K20 Pro, Mi 10, and Poco X2 have received the update. Now it’s time for the Xiaomi budget device users to enjoy the latest MIUI 12 update.

Many Redmi Note 8 Pro users who participated in the MIUI 12 Pilot program have been testing the MIUI 12 update since last month. For them, the final MIUI 12 stable update won’t bring anything new to the table. That being said, the update will likely be free of any bugs or performance issues.
Redmi Note 8 Pro owners in India who haven’t received the update can try installing their device using the manual update process.
Interestingly, other devices in the same Pilot program, such as the Redmi Note 7, 7 Pro, 7S, are still in the testing phase. However, it won’t be long before the Redmi Note 7 series also receives the MIUI 12 Global Stable update, once and for all.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi has released several country-specific MIUI 12 Stable updates for Redmi Note 9 users, which indicates that an MIUI 12 India Stable update for the same isn’t far away. Unfortunately, there is no information on MIUI 12 India updates for Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.
