The company will be rolling out the update in a phased manner and the list of countries which are receiving the update include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. The company also revealed that 10% of all these approved markets will receive the Update today and 50% by October 11 and on October 13 100% of these approved markets will have received Android 10. India roll out is scheduled a bit differently this time. Indian users will receive the updated latest by October 29.
Nokia 5.1 was launched in 2018 with Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. This is the second major software update of the smartphone. With Android 10, the Nokia 5.1 users will be able to experience features like Dark Theme, Smart Reply in messages, Focus mode, Live Caption, and others.
For those unaware, Nokia 5.1 comes with a 5.5-inch FHD+ display with 1080×2160 pixel resolution. The display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P18 processor paired with 2GB/3GB RAM.
The handset comes in two storage options — 16GB and 32GB which can be expanded further by installing a microSD card. Nokia 5.1 comes with dual SIM functionality and sports a 16MP single lens rear camera with LED flash. The front houses an 8MP selfie shooter.
The smartphone comes equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
