It has not even been a month since OnePlus launched its OnePlus 8T smartphone and the rumour mill has started to turn its attention to the next OnePlus smartphone, which is the OnePlus 9.
Tipster Max J, who in the past has been right about past OnePlus handsets, has posted an image on Twitter showing the shell of the handset with ‘Lemonade’ written across it, hinting that the codename of the next OnePlus smartphone which is going to be OnePlus 9.

A closer inspection of the image shows that the device is likely to offer thin bezels and house usual buttons on usual sides of the device.
This isn’t the first time a OnePlus smartphone with codename Lemonade has been reported.
Back in September a report by Android Central reported about ‘Lemonade’, ‘Bengal’ and ‘Billie’ codenames for upcoming OnePlus codenames. While the ‘Billie’ is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 690 SoC, there is no word on the expected processor for ‘Lemonade’ and ‘Bengal.’
As mentioned, the OnePlus 8T was launched earlier this month in India at a starting price of Rs 42,999. The base variant packs 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. There is one more variant that offers 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage and costs Rs 45,999.
In terms of specs, the OnePlus 8T smartphone comes powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and houses a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED full HD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
Running on Android 11 out-of-the-box topped with OxygenOS 11, this smartphone houses a quad-rear camera setup which comprises a 48MP main sensor, 16MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP macro camera and 2MP depth sensor.
Backed by a 4500mAH battery with 5W Warp Charge fast charging support, it comes in two colour options of Lunar Silver and Aquamarine Green.
