Oppo A93 smartphone to launch on October 6

NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Oppo is all set to launch its latest smartphone — Oppo A93 on October 6. The company will launch the smartphone in Malaysia via an online event. It is said that the smartphone will be a rebranded version of the Oppo F17 Pro. The company revealed the launch via its official Twitter handle. The company tweeted, “Save the date! The live stream of #OPPOA93 launch is happening on 6 October 2020, 3pm on our Facebook page! And don’t forget to check out our Facebook page to know how you can stand a chance to win the OPPO A93.”
Oppo A93 expected specifications
Oppo A93 is said to come with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED curved FHD+ display (2400x1080p resolution) with 60Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P95 processor.
The smartphone is expected to come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card. The handset is said to come with dual SIM functionality and run Android 10 operating system.
Oppo A93 is expected to sport a quad-rear camera setup which will consist of 48MP main sensor, 8MP wide-angle sensor, a 2MP mono sensor and a portrait sensor of 2MP. The selfie lovers are expected to get a dual camera in the front which will consist of a 16MP main sensor and 2MP secondary sensor.
The smartphone is expected to be backed by a 4000mAh battery with 30W VOOC charging support and come equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Recently, it was reported that Oppo is planning to build its own short video platform just like TikTok. While details about the platform are still scarce, the world’s fifth-largest smartphone vendor may launch the service later this year, a top executive of the company told the South China Morning Post.
