Redmi 9A smartphone with 5000 mAh battery to launch in India on September 2

NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Xiaomi’s Redmi brand is all set to launch yet another budget smartphone in India. The company recently launched the Redmi 9 Prime and Redmi 9 in the country and now it will launch the Redmi 9A.
The company took to Twitter to announce the launch date of the smartphone. Redmi will launch the Redmi 9A on September 2. The company has also revealed that the device will go on sale starting September 4. The company will launch the smartphone via a virtual event and it has also created a microsite for the launch which is presently showing a ‘notify me’ button. The company has already launched the smartphone in Malaysia and it comes in Nature Green, Sea Blue, and Midnight Black colour options. It is expected that the company might price the smartphone under Rs 10,000.
Redmi 9A specifications
Redmi 9A is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 32GB internal storage which can be expanded further by inserting a microSD card. The smartphone sports a 6.53-inch HD+ display with 720×1600 pixel resolution.
The device runs Android 10 operating system topped with the company’s own MIUI 11. Redmi 9A features a single-lens 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 lens. The front is home to a 5MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture. The device is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 10W fast charging support.
Recently, Redmi launched the Redmi 9 smartphone in India. The smartphone has been launched in two storage variants. The base variant offers 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and costs Rs 8,999. The second variant offers 4GB+128GB storage and costs Rs 9,999.
