Samsung Galaxy S21 spotted on certification in India

Must read

South Korean tech giant Samsung is expected to launch its next flagship smartphone in the Galaxy S series in January and various reports have started floating online about the smartphones that hint about their specs as well as expected date of launch.
As a development on this, it is now being reported that the most basic handset in the upcoming lineup, Galaxy S21, has now been certified through the Bureau of Indian Standards certification website.
The reports suggest that the model number of the Galaxy S21 that has been certified by BIS is SM-G991B and the other two Galaxy S21 models — Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra — are also expected to be certified soon.
For those unaware, it is being reported that some of the models of the Galaxy S21 series are going to come with support for S-Pen, which will be a first for the series.
Till now, Samsung has offered the support for S Pen for its other flagship series — Galaxy Note — which is expected to be discontinued starting this year.
According to a recent tweet by Android Police’s Max Weinbach, the expected lineup of Samsung for 2021 doesn’t include any Galaxy Note series smartphones. Instead, the company is said to offer four Galaxy S21 phones and three foldable Galaxy Z handsets in 2021.
Among these seven flagship series models, 3 of them are said to offer S-Pen support, which otherwise is the main USP of the Galaxy Note series from Samsung.
