Earlier this month, Samsung announced Galaxy A42 5G smartphone, which was touted as its cheapest 5G-enabled smartphone. However, back then the company did not reveal all the specs of the handset, especially its processor.
Now, a report by dealntech has suggested that the device is going to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 750G chipset, which launched today and therefore at the time of the launch of the handset — since this processor wasn’t launched — the company could not reveal that.
The report by dealntech claimed that the Galaxy A42 5G will come powered by a Snapdragon 750G chipset on the basis of the source code of Galaxy A42 5G’s benchmark. The source code highlights the same configuration as the Snapdragon 750G SoC, claims the report.
To recall, the Galaxy A42 was launched as the successor to the Galaxy A41 — along with Galaxy A42 5G alongside the Galaxy Tab A7 and a wireless charger Trio.
In terms of specs, the company has already confirmed that the device will offer a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with water drop notch and a quad rear camera setup.
Design-wise, the smartphone is set to feature a dual tone printed texture panel.
