Tomb Raider: Tomb Raider Reloaded to bring Lara Croft to mobile platform again

Must read

Japanese game developer Square Enix is working on a new Lara Croft game, this time for the mobile platform. The video game company has launched a teaser trailer for its upcoming mobile game Tomb Raider Reloaded. With this, adventurer Lara Croft will make her way to smartphones again as there have been Lara Croft mobile games like Lara Croft Go and Lara Croft: Relic Run, both of which were released in 2015.
Tomb Raider Reloaded is a free-to-play action arcade game. It is currently under development by Emerald City Games. The game will be published by Square Enix London Mobile. The game’s trailer doesn’t give away anything gameplay wise. The only indication it gives is that it is going to be populated with characters in 3D cartoon skins, Lara Croft included. From the looks of it, the game seems to be an action adventure one only. Lara is shown wielding pistols in both the hands. Here is the official teaser trailer.

Lara Croft as Tomb Raider is a popular character and boasts of some AAA titles by Square Enix only, some of the notable ones being Rise of the Tomb Raider and its sequel, Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Both the games let you play as Lara Croft and use various weapon and athletic skills to survive and move ahead as you unravel the plots.
For the mobile game, it looks like the element of fun is going to be the mainstay. Though the developers haven’t revealed a launch date yet, Lara Croft Reloaded is expected to come next year.
