WhatsApp groups can be quite annoying as there are some groups you can’t tolerate and at the same time you can’t quit. Thankfully, WhatsApp is now allowing users to mute contacts and groups forever. Earlier, you just had the option to mute somebody or a group for a maximum of up to year. Now, you can simply mute somebody or a group forever and forget.
As per a report by WABetaInfo, the new feature will be available in version 2.20.201.10. However, you need not update to the latest version. You can check the mute notification settings and check out the mute notifications to “Always”. If you choose ‘Always’, you will not get disturbed by the WhatsApp chat.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp, has rolled out a new feature to its Android beta users that will help them get rid of their storage problems. The company has rolled out Android beta version 2.20.201.9 for the app that includes a new user interface for the storage section with new tools. This was spotted by WABetaInfo — the online channel that tracks the upcoming changes and features on the Facebook-owned app.
Since this feature is already live for the beta users of the app, the company is expected to soon roll out the same to non-beta Android users as well.
The new storage section will help users see directly what content is occupying maximum storage as it will show them under large files section. Besides this, it will also have a section of forwarded files that help users see and segregate the unimportant files from the app’s storage. Users will continue to see their chats with other contacts and how much space each chat has taken up space.
