WhatsApp, which is operated by Facebook, is rolling out a fully redesigned Storage Management Tool to help users control storage efficiently on their phones.
The aim of this tool is to help users quickly recognize, review and delete content that is transmitted or shared many times using the instant messaging app and free up storage on their smartphones.
“We now offer easy cleanup suggestions by bucketing both large files and media that has been forwarded many times, sorting files by size in descending order, and providing a way to preview files before deleting them,” WhatsApp said on Tuesday.
- Latest version of WhatsApp
- Working internet connection
- How to access the feature
- Open WhatsApp
- Open Settings and tap on storage and data option.
- Users can then see the Manage storage option.
Previously, under the “Storage Usage” portion, WhatsApp only listed chats in which users could free up some space on their phones. By supplying an all-new gui, the new change revamps the experience. In comparison to other software, it dedicates a bar to show how much storage WhatsApp media content absorbs.
A dedicated option is also available to view press documents that are normally sent via the application on several occasions. This in particular, helps to find and clean up unnecessary submitted files very quickly.
In addition, different cleaning tips will also be provided by the redesigned storage management tool rolling out for WhatsApp users worldwide this week.
WhatsApp will soon roll out a multi-device support feature, as per the article, as well. Right now it is officially under production. The report reveals that it will allow users to log in at the same time from four different devices.
