Microsoft’s next-gen gaming consoles, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X will reportedly launch on Nov 10, 2020.

According to the leaks, Xbox Series S will cost around $299 whereas the Xbox Series X will cost somewhere near $499.

Talking about the Xbox Series S console design, this video from Thurrott’s Brad Sams showcases how this console has more similarities to the Xbox One instead of Xbox Series X.

Xbox Series S is all set to deliver higher frame rates on 1080p monitors. It also features a giant cooling vent on the top of the console but lacks a disc drive.

The Xbox Series X console support 4K resolution with a standard 60 FPS. However, for certain games like Halo Infinity, frames can go up to 120 FPS in the multiplayer mode.

It will also provide a backward compatibility option for games along with a quick resume feature and faster load time in comparison to previous consoles.

More than 50 games have been planned for Xbox Series X this year across different generations. Some examples are Dirt 5, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Gear Tactics, Watch Dogs: Legion, Yazuka: Like a Dragon, and many more. By the way, new games such as Scorn, The Medium, and Tetris Effect Connected will be developed exclusively for Xbox Series X.

Xbox Series vs Sony PlayStation 5: Price Comparison

Prices for the upcoming Xbox consoles are similar to the prices of Xbox One S ($249) and Xbox One X ($399) respectively, which is great.

However, it will be very interesting to see the price that Sony sets for its PlayStation 5 at the launch. PlayStation 5 might be priced somewhere between $400 and $500 on release as per the rumors.

Other than the global launch for the Xbox Series, Microsoft is also aiming to provide Xbox All Access to more markets than before. Moreover, the company is also planning to host a press event to put these next-gen gaming consoles on display with the launch.
